Meet Dezmond! Dezmond is a sweet and silly 2-ish year old German Shepherd mix (maybe Shepherd/Lab or Shepherd/Husky) who has all the goofy puppy energy packed into a grown-up body. He’s got the personality of a four month old shepherd who still thinks mouthing is a love language, but is quickly figuring out the rules. This boy is turbo-charged and always on the move. He entertains himself with toys (he even figured out how to wedge a puzzle toy against the wall so it wouldn’t slide away while he worked on it = genius!), loves butt scratches, and is super food-motivated. He already knows “sit” and is quickly picking up more commands. Dezmond is: Dog-friendly (he can get amped during intros, so slow introductions are best) Crate-trained and doing well with it A huge foodie who learns fast with treats Internally happy, goofy, and endlessly entertaining He'd love to do agility work one day! He can be barky with strangers at first, but the second you offer him a treat, he’s your new best friend. Because of his herding nips, jumpiness, and mouthiness, Dezmond will thrive with an owner who has German Shepherd (or similar breed) experience and who’s ready to channel his big puppy energy into training and structure. Dezmond is the definition of a “silly manchild” shepherd mix: wild, joyful, and absolutely lovable. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dezmond was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dezmond’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dezmond’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dezmond’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
