Lainey is a social butterfly who adores both people and dogs, and she thrives in a home where she can be surrounded by her favorite companions. Her leash-walking skills are improving every day, especially when she’s strolling alongside her 2-year-old foster brother. She’s got a signature head tilt that’ll melt your heart and ears like antennae that catch every sound. When she’s ready to play, she lets out a cheerful bark to get her foster brother moving! Lainey’s story is one of resilience. After surviving being hit by a car as a stray, she underwent surgery and now carries a slight limp—but don’t let that fool you. She’s full of energy and joy, always ready for a car ride or a patio hangout. She’s mostly housetrained and would thrive with a family that can offer her structure and a consistent schedule. Lainey loves treats, has mastered “sit,” and is working on other basic commands. If you work from home, she’d be the perfect coworker—quietly curling up nearby while you tackle your day. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lainey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lainey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lainey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lainey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
