About this Dog
Clint is a spunky little guy with a big personality packed into a small frame. He came from the Huntsville Shelter and has settled into foster life with energy, charm, and a few quirks that make him unforgettable. He absolutely loves walks and gets so excited when the sneakers come out that he’ll spin in circles until his harness is on. Afterward, he’s just as happy to snuggle up in a recliner with his person. Clint also has a funny habit of climbing under blankets to hibernate, so his foster family has learned to check before sitting down. He’s making good progress on his manners, working on not jumping up on people and learning to hang out in the living room while the adults eat. He does well in a crate and often chooses it as his safe spot, but he’s small and can’t spend long days confined. He’s vocal when he needs to go outside or when other dogs in the neighborhood are barking, but otherwise settles well. Clint would likely be good with kids, though he hasn't met any yet but small children might be startled by his habit of jumping up when excited. He’s affectionate, lively, and happiest when he’s included in daily routines. With continued training and love, Clint will make a fun and devoted companion. Clint would do best in a home with a dog companion to help him settle in and be comfortable. Clint is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 09/06/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 4:30 and 8pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
