Stewie is a one in a million puppy. Found as a stray with his mom and siblings, Stewie came into rescue very underweight and unsure of the world. But from the start, his sweet and calm nature shone through. He’s learning that he doesn’t need to eat his food in a hurry — it will always be there now. And with that sense of safety, he’s slowly coming out of his shell. With his big, goofy puppy paws and a little scar on his lip (just like Harrison Ford!), Stewie is both handsome and humble. While his sister may barrel ahead for attention and treats, Stewie patiently waits his turn, happy just to be near you and soak up any affection you’re willing to give. He’s a bit shy at first and will need someone willing to go slow and give him time to build trust — but once he knows you, he truly blossoms. Stewie wants to be loved, and it shows in the soft way he leans in for pets and the quiet joy he brings just by being close. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Stewie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Stewie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Stewie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Stewie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
