About this Dog
Meet Wally, the goodest of boys you'll ever meet! He has come a long way to find his perfect home and is working hard to heal from a troubled past. Wally was rescued as a puppy from a dog-fighting ring and spent most of his young life in an animal control facility while the criminal case unfolded. Because of this, he has developed separation anxiety and other mental health challenges. These mainly manifest as whining, pacing, and panting when separated from his people. He is currently being treated with medication and is making great progress with training, time, and lots of love and care. Wally's greatest wish is to spend his time and love on his people. Cuddling is his favorite pastime, and his undying mission is to sneak in licks whenever possible. He loves to squeeze in between his foster mom and the couch, wrapping himself around her while she works. Wally would love a home where he can always be with you, maybe as your work buddy or errand-running partner. A spot in your bed for all-night cuddles would be his dream come true! While he is still learning about toys, he's become an expert at removing the limbs from his stuffies. His foster family thinks he would enjoy tougher toys once he gets the hang of playing. With a soft, shiny dark brown coat and adorable webbed toes, you'll be treated to a tap dance every time he's happy. Wally has taken to potty training like a champ, and while obedience training may be a longer process, he is so eager to please. Can you give Wally the safe and loving home he's been waiting for? If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.

Adopt Wally and Receive Wally's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Wally's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Wally's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Wally, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Wally's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Wally was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Wally’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Wally’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Wally’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
