About this Dog
*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Meet Mrs. Moose – Your Future Shadow and Snuggle Buddy! Mrs. Moose is a sweet, soulful, and devoted girl, who thrives when she has your attention and affection. She loves belly rubs, mealtime, and happy zooms in circles, pausing to grin at you with pure joy. Funny sounds make her wag her tail like crazy, and she delights in leaning into the people she trusts. While she isn’t toy-motivated yet, she enjoys a good chew and loves being near her favorite humans. Moose is gentle with children she knows and will warm up to visitors once she feels safe. She walks well outside and enjoys time exploring, showing off her happy, playful side. Moose would do best in a calm home with predictable routines, where there aren't a lot of visitors coming and going. She can be cautious inside the home, particularly with new people. With patience, clear boundaries, and consistent routines, she gradually gains confidence and shows the loving, loyal companion she truly is. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who will shower you with loyalty and joy once you earn her trust, Mrs. Moose could be the perfect match. Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and recommendations to keep your Senior dog in top shape. Mrs. Moose is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.

Adopt Mrs. Moose and Receive Mrs. Moose's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mrs. Moose's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Mrs. Moose's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Mrs. Moose, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mrs. Moose's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mrs. Moose was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mrs. Moose’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mrs. Moose’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mrs. Moose’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
