About this Dog
Luna has a pretty sad story. She came to us as an owner surrender after her person passed away and no one in the family was able to keep her. She was very devoted to him. Luna is a white German Shepherd Dog who will be 10 years old in December. She's a big girl and doesn't demand a lot. Luna has been completely vetted and her fee is $100. Luna just needs a nice, calm place to lay her head. A walk here and there, a little bit of affection, and she'll be happy. She'd love a home in which she's not alone a lot as she finds comfort in knowing that someone is there. She has done okay with male dogs but is not one to romp and play. Cats and smaller animals are most likely a no for her. She will need some regular grooming as she does have a pretty thick coat. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.

Adopt Luna One and Receive Luna One's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Luna One's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Luna One's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Luna One, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Luna One's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Luna One was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Luna One’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Luna One’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Luna One’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
