About this Dog
Due to a stroke and ongoing health challenges, we are no longer able to give her the time and attention she truly deserves. The past few months have been difficult, and she has spent more time alone than we’d ever want for her. She’s a loving and loyal companion who thrives on connection, routine, and adventure. Out of full transparency: she did bite my husband when he reached into her crate unexpectedly. It was a situation that startled her, and while we believe it was fear-based, we know it’s important for any future home to be aware. She would do best in a calm, experienced home that respects her boundaries and gives her a sense of security. We’re heartbroken to let her go, but she deserves a home where someone is around more often and can include her in their daily life. She has so much love to give, and we want her to be with someone who can give it right back.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bug's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bug was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bug’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bug’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bug’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
