Happy go lucky kinda guy looking for his forever person to hug and love on!! This guy is ready to be your best friend!Big Lebowski was found frantically running through traffic. Local Facebook groups had sightings of him for 2 days before he was picked up by his now foster. Since he’s been at his foster home he has learned a lot. He knows basic obedience, walks nicely on the leash, has solid recall, has a retrieve, plays tug, has moderate toy and food drive, is crate and kennel trained. Wow!! what a star!He’s a curious, tolerant, friendly and eager to please kinda boy! This boy, however, is not your typical Mal!! He's more of a Lab in Mal's clothing....he is as happy running around in the yard with his ball in his mouth as he is chilling on the couch! He is not the type that wants to work all the time, he prefers leisure over hours of training!He is looking for a home that is knowledgeable in the breed but isn't looking for an over the top sport dog! However, he has shown to be an amazing dock diver! He is even titled now!!He has learned many commands and even knows to play dead and sit pretty! He is very eager to please but more in a goofy cute way than a soldier waiting to get instructions. He mostly considers himself a companion, a romper of yards and froliker of fields and a true lover! He will make you laugh when he bounces and leaps around joyously and it’s hard not to feel the same joy watching him. He is an excellent snuggler and has medium drive with a complete “off switch”.He still has the Mal intensity behind his eyes, so some experience is a must!His foster says that if he were a human he'd be a hippie. If that was a job. He’d drive an old beat up Volkswagen bus. And probably have dreadlocks. And get fired a lot because he has no sense of urgency for most tasks, besides eating. He definitely wouldn’t work a corporate job. BUT he'd probably be a surfer dude!Bowski has deep soulful eyes. And when he locks them with yours you can tell he has a lot going on behind them. He’s going to be someone’s “heart dog”. He has an endearing way of flopping himself against you for contact and your assurance everything is going to be okay and you think he’s a good boy. Who could ask for more!?!He needs to be either the only dog or with a friendly female. He is not friendly with male dogs.He is untested with cats. He has been good around livestock through the fence.He has met some children but we recommend against very young ones. Older dog-savvy children should be fine.
