About this Dog

My husband and I have a special needs rescue dog we desperately need help with. He came into our care last month when he was going to be euthanized by his owner. He is the ultimate underdog and is so deserving! We have no where he can live safely anymore and I'm doing everything I can to try to find him a foster or home. Our home is unlivable. It had unsafe electrical and the walls have lead paint and we're having to take on a DIY renovation. We don't have any idea how long it's going to take. We're having to live in a camper with our three dogs and two cats. This rescue pup is having to be rotated in and out of our garage and yard and I feel awful that I can't find him a home or provide him the care he deserves. With temperatures rising he won't be safe in the garage, but I literally have no where else to put him. I want more for him and I'm already so spread thin. He has a soft spot on his head and a possible hernia on his stomach which is why I believe he could have special needs. With his humans he is SUCH a good boy. He's potty and house trained. Knows several commands. Crate trained. Just a little goofball and his little mannerisms truly make our day! He likes running alongside my husband's skateboard and loves to cuddle. But he's reactive to seeing dogs on the street and it's unsafe for our dogs to be with him. Our dogs try to fight him and he feels he needs to protect himself. Is there any way you all could please help us? I will gladly keep posting him, I can at least pay for all of his food and treats each month for a new foster. I'm a photographer and can donate my services to photograph any of your rescues. He just needs safe shelter ASAP and I'm sad that I cannot provide that. I want the best for him.

Adopt Stryker and Receive Stryker's Fund

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Stryker's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Stryker receive the contribution?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Stryker, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Stryker's contribution here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Stryker was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Stryker’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Stryker’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Stryker’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
