About this Cat
Edgar is a sweet, senior gentleman who has already been through more than most cats should. He was found alone on the side of the road, and sadly, no one came forward to claim him. Despite his rough start, Edgar is incredibly affectionate and loves to be pettedâheâll happily soak up all the love and attention youâre willing to give.At around 14 years old, Edgar is looking for a calm, quiet home where he can enjoy the peaceful life he deserves. Heâs currently underweight, likely due to fending for himself for an unknown amount of time, so heâll need some TLC (and tasty meals!) to help him get back to a healthy weight. We donât know if Edgar has lived with other cats or dogs, so slow, careful introductions are a must if you have existing pets. Because of his age and gentle nature, we recommend a home with children aged 10 and up who understand how to be respectful and gentle with older animals.Edgarâs ideal home is one filled with kindness, soft beds, cozy windowsills, and loving companionship. If youâre looking to make a meaningful difference in a senior catâs life, Edgar might just be the perfect companion for you. Give Edgar the retirement he deservesâyou wonât regret it.If you are interested in meeting Edgar or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, they are open M-F from 10am-4pm.Adoption fee is being Sponsored!

Adopt EDGAR and Receive EDGAR's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, EDGAR's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is EDGAR's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the EDGAR, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming EDGAR's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and EDGAR was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, EDGAR’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the EDGAR’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, EDGAR’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
