About this Dog
Calling all husky loversâBerner is ready to steal your heart and maybe your snacks. This handsome, red-and-white fluffball is 4 years old and bursting with classic husky energy and charm.Berner knows his basicsâsit, shake, and downâand heâs always ready to show off for a treat or a little attention. Like most huskies, heâs got a lot to say, and heâs not shy about telling you how he feels. If you're looking for a quiet companion... heâs probably not your guy. But if you're into chatty trail buddies and snow-day zoomies, Berner could be your perfect match.Berner LOVES to play, especially with other dogs, and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. Heâs shown some polite curiosity around cats, but weâd recommend a slow, supervised introduction to be safeâhe didnât seem overly focused on them, which is a good sign! One of his favorite things in the world? Balls. Toss one and watch this guy light up with joy!We recommend a home with kids 10 and up, just due to his size and excitement level. He would do best with an owner who has husky or northern breed experienceâsomeone who understands his need for exercise, mental stimulation, and the occasional dramatic monologue.Berner is ready for his next big adventure. Could it be with you?If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $150.

Adopt BERNER and Receive BERNER's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, BERNER's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is BERNER's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the BERNER, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming BERNER's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and BERNER was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, BERNER’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the BERNER’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, BERNER’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
