When Abe first arrived at the shelter, he was scared and unsureâbut what a transformation heâs made! With a little patience and a lot of love, Abe has blossomed into a joyful, playful pup whoâs ready to find his forever family.Abe is a smart cookie who is incredibly treat-motivated (seriouslyâheâll do just about anything for a snack!). This makes him not only fun to work with, but also a great student whoâs eager to keep learning his manners. Heâs got the brains and the heart.This energetic boy would thrive in an active home with a fenced-in yard where he can run, play, and burn off his zoomies. He loves other dogs and could run around with canine buddies for hours. Whether itâs tug-of-war or chase, Abe is always ready to play!Weâre not quite sure how he feels about cats just yetâhe hasnât shown much interest in them here at the shelter, so with slow and patient introductions, he may do just fine in a home with feline friends.Once playtime is over, Abe is all about the cuddles. Heâs a big olâ love bug who wants nothing more than to snuggle up next to you and soak in the affection. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, ABE's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ABE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ABE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the ABE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ABE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
