About this Dog
Gigi was found on the streets in southern Texas, scared, alone and starving. After 3 weeks of me coaxing her to come near me i took her home. Still very scared she slowly started trusting me. I called several shelters and all with the same answer, sorry we are full and we are not taking anymore animals in. I volunteer at a local shelter in Texas ( we winter there 6 months) and they asked me to foster her, which I agreed. After 3 weeks it was time to return to Michigan and they had no one that would take her. I couldn’t just leave her alone to fend for herself so we brought her to Michigan with hopes of finding her a home. Needless to say we still haven’t found one. Gigi is housebroken, does chew up anything, knows commands and it a fast learner. She is still afraid of people except my husband and myself but she is slowly trusting other people. Gigi will make a wonderful companion and is so loving. Please think about opening your heart and home.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gigi was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gigi’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gigi’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gigi’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
