About this Dog
We have an incredibly wonderful and special dog named Jack, who is a 4.5 year old, Rhodesian Ridgeback/Coon Hound mix, 65 lbs. He's a very sweet boy who loves to be around us and loves to play. We're needing to find him another home. He's had some aggression issues, where he can growl and at times bite. We've worked very hard with him with trainers, and also used medication to support him (fluoxetine at the advice of our vet, which has been really helpful) and he has done really well in so many ways, and can follow directions like sit, heel, lie down, touch (come and touch hand), etc, and he has become less reactive in a lot of ways, but we haven’t been able to fully resolve him biting us (main triggers are taking his collar off and resource and space guarding), which can break skin. My wife is pregnant and given that we don't feel like we can provide the kind of home he needs right now that would be safe for a baby, or that it would be workable to rehome him to normal owners who wouldn’t have the capability to work with him properly and be safe. We really, really, really do not want to euthanize him because we feel like he's a very wonderful, special guy and if he had the right environment he might be able to flourish and have a fulfilling life and have been searching for an avenue that might work for him.

Adopt Jack and Receive Jack's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Jack's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$7 is Jack's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Jack, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Jack's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jack was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jack’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jack’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jack’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
