Story: Naomi is an adorable Domestic Short Hair Mix young kitty, who was rescued from an outdoor colony. We are so happy to have her with us now in a foster home! Naomi is a happy and sweet young kitten. She spends her days playing with her foster family and chasing all the fun toys they have. What my foster says: Naomi is a beautiful tabby who was rescued as a kitten from an outdoor colony at the Brazilian Embassy along with her parents and brother Brazil. She has adjusted well to the safety of indoor life and enjoyed hanging out with her brother until he was adopted. She was a bit shy with her foster at first, but now loves to find him frequently when she wants attention and petting! She enjoys the companionship of other cats, and will occasionally play with them but is not a high energy girl. Naomi is not a lap cat and doesn’t like to be picked up much, but will tolerate it. Naomi will be best in a quiet home with a patient owner who can help her to continue to blossom into her best self! Naomi would be best in a home without very young children who might scare her, and a young confident kitty friend would be wonderful for her to spend her time with! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and NAOMI was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, NAOMI’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the NAOMI’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, NAOMI’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
