About this Dog
Meet Chonk – A Big Lovebug Ready to See the World! Chonk is a handsome, playful 2-year-old brindle boy, weighing in at around 60 pounds and bursting with love. Despite his young age, Chonk developed cataracts and lost his vision—but thanks to the amazing team at PAW, he’s had eye surgery and is now discovering the world with fresh, healing eyes.Because of his limited vision early in life, Chonk can be a little tentative when meeting new people. But once he warms up, he’s goofy, sweet, and full of personality! He absolutely loves going for walks, exploring the yard, and doing zoomies (watch his video—it's guaranteed to make you smile). He’s patient, smart (he knows "sit" and is learning "down"), eager to please, and already crate trained and housebroken.Chonk is also very social—great with other dogs and people. His favorite things include peanut butter, music, ear scratches, and nose rubs. This oversized cuddlebug thrives on love and companionship and would make a wonderful addition to just about any family—especially one with another dog, as he’s been thriving in a foster home with canine pals. Can you be the one to help him continue adjusting to life now that he can see? PAW will provide training to support his adopter. Let’s help Chonk see how beautiful life can be—with you by his side.

Adopt Chonk and Receive Chonk's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Chonk's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Chonk's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Chonk, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Chonk's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Chonk was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Chonk’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Chonk’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Chonk’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
