About this Cat
Momma Star was likely dumped outside and living a hard life on the streets when ASHA found her and brought her in. She had no home to call her own and was squatting in an abandoned home in Baltimore City. She was adopted but unfortunately had to be returned when her owner became ill. So she is now looking for a new forever home. Up to date on vaccines, spayed, dewormed, microchipped and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV. Interested in adopting one of our kitties?!The first step in the adoption process is the adoption application which is located on our website rescueandadopt.org/adopt. There is a $15 application fee which is subtracted from the adoption fee. Make sure your application fee is submitted via our website and not on the Petstablished portal. Our website includes a lot of info, including a FAQ page with lots of answers.Once your application is reviewed we will contact you to schedule the home check video chat to ensure that you have all the basic supplies set up in an isolation/ introduction room and there are no health hazards to the cat in your home. We can also help answer any additional questions you may have at this time.Next is the meet and greet with you and the adoptable kitty you're interested in. We are a foster system so we do not have a facility. Visits to meet an adoptable animal at a foster family is by appointment only. In the rare case that you decide your initial kitty isn't the right fit, we can introduce you to our many other types of cats to find the right fit.Once you have settled on your new furry family member, the next step is to complete and sign the adoption contract with an ASHA volunteer to finalize the adoption.Adoption Fees: $125 for kittens under a year old and NOT solid black. $100 for kittens under a year old and solid black. $75 for cats over a year old and NOT solid black. $50 for cats over a year old and solid black.

Adopt Momma Star and Receive Momma Star's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Momma Star's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Momma Star's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Momma Star, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Momma Star's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Momma Star was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Momma Star’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Momma Star’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Momma Star’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
