About this Dog
Have you ever wished you had a buddy that wanted to cuddle ALL the time? Look no further! Cocoa is a cuddle-a-holic. 2 year old, 39 pound Cocoa is a medium grey blue gal, coming in at a very portable 45lbs. She has a very outgoing, bubbly, and curious personality. She is brilliant, and learned lay "down" in 20 minutes. Cocoa is very food motivated and loves meal time. She has even expressed interest in the "talking button" we have for "potty". Speaking of - She almost always immediately potties when brought outside. Cocoa is currently still in decompression from shelter life, but will be sharing space with our resident dog soon. They spend time with one in crate, one out; she showers him in kisses through the crate when she wants his affection and from all signs here and at the shelter, she loves dogs as much as she loves people. Cocoa loves people so much in fact, she once had zoomies after maintenance workers said hi while on a ladder nextdoor. We believe she would do well with kids, but when playing, she can be very gently mouthy, or corn-cobby, so bigger kids or teens would be best if living with kids. Cocoa was not crate trained upon arrival, but after only 2 weeks, she goes into the crate almost on command with a little food motivator. She is very relaxed in the crate. She does have slight separation anxiety that exhibits in crying for a little while upon first leaving or when she is crated in another room from you. Her oversized expressive ears, freckles and absolutely lovely, sweet personality could win anyones heart. Will it be yours?

Adopt Cocoa and Receive Cocoa's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cocoa's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Cocoa's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Cocoa, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cocoa's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cocoa was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cocoa’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cocoa’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cocoa’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
