Meet Maverick, but you can call him Mav! This handsome fella is the total package. Mav is playful, affectionate, and absolutely full of personality. At 1.5 years old, Mav is past the puppy stage but still has all the goofy, fun loving energy you'd expect from a young Lab/Shepherd mix. (His breed is our best guess based on his looks. Whatever he is, he’s 100% adorable!) Mav loves to zoom around the yard, play with his toys, and soak up every bit of attention from his humans. He’s crate trained, potty trained, and eager to please making him a quick learner and a great candidate for continuing training with his furever human. He already knows how to switch gears, too: when playtime’s over, Mav is all about lounging nearby and soaking up the love. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is learning the art of respectful play (sometimes older pups have to remind him to tone it down a notch!). Mav is full grown at around 50lbs, but his heart and personality are anything but small. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maverick was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maverick’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maverick’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maverick’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
