About this Dog
Looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who will truly bond with you? Marella is your girl. This gentle lady loves love — she’s the lapiest lap dog that ever was who loves to curl up under your arm and snuggle beside you under the blanket. Marella has been through a lot. She was found alone on a country road, pregnant, covered in fleas, and heartworm positive. Despite everything, she has remained incredibly good-natured and loving. Now she’s ready to leave her past behind and find a home where she’ll be cherished. She’s very wiggly and excited when greeting people, often pawing gently for more pets and kisses. She loves being close to her humans and is gaining confidence with being left alone — she just wants to know she’s safe and loved. She’s still working on her potty training and will need a patient home willing to continue helping her with that. When it comes to barking, she’s mostly quiet — she may bark briefly when first kenneled but settles down quickly. Marella can be a little unsure with new people or dogs, especially when approached too quickly, so slow, respectful introductions are important. But with time and trust, she truly blossoms. She'll do best in a home with a confident doggie sibling to help show her the ropes. If you’re looking for a devoted, loving companion who will melt into your arms and stay by your side, Marella is waiting to meet you! Marella is from Texas. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian. Adopt Marella and Receive Marella's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Marella's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Marella's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Marella, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Marella's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Marella was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Marella’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Marella’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Marella’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
