Hi there, I’m Oscar — a 7-year-old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix with a lot of love and just enough sass to keep things interesting. I may be a little older, but don’t let that fool you — I’ve still got plenty of pep in my step and snuggles to spare. I get along great with kids, adults, and dogs of all sizes (though I mostly mind my own business and let the others do their thing). I’m leash trained, car ride approved, and I know the basics — I’m basically the total package. I’m mostly potty trained too; I just need a solid routine and some encouragement to keep me on track. I’m a pretty chill guy with moderate energy. I enjoy my walks, lounging in sunny spots, and being your little shadow. I do like to let you know when I’m ready to come back inside — I mean, wouldn’t you appreciate a polite heads-up? At this point in life, I’m just looking for a cozy home where I can be your loyal companion, get a few ear scratches, and enjoy my golden years in peace and comfort. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Oscar's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Oscar was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Oscar’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Oscar’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Oscar’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
