About this Cat
Cedar was found in a ditch as a kitten just a few weeks old. We brought him into our home and attempted to find a home for him at that time. Unfortunately, We were not able to find another owner for him, and his human mother quickly fell in love with him, so it was decided that he would become a member of the already two cat home. Cedar received all of his shots and was neutered once he was old enough. He still has all of his claws. Cedar is extremely intelligent. You can see it in his eyes and when he is on the hunt, you can almost hear his wheels turning as he determines his next move. He is just a little over a year old and is extremely active and playful. He responds very well to most toys, but his favorites are non-commercial. Give him a bread tie, Amazon box with paper inside or, his favorite, a rubber band.....and he's a happy camper. His favorite game to play is "rubber band fetch". He fetches like a dog....really! He has done this since he was a young kitten. I will sit in bed at night reading on my tablet, throwing the rubber band for him. He'll find it (remember my comment about his hunting intelligence), sometimes having do take some searching, and bring it back to me. He'll climb my bent legs and drop the rubber band over the side of the tablet onto my stomach so that I can throw it for him again. So cute! It is with a heavy heart that we need to find him a new home. He lives harmoniously with our other two indoor cats, but his style of play is too aggressive for them as they are older cats. Cedar is curious, energetic, and highly intelligent. He would do well in a home where he is either the only cat or where is matched with another similarly aged cat. He needs lots of room to run and a family with sufficient time to give for playing to relieve some of his pent up energy. Look out for when he gets the zoomies! He's a Tik Tok cat video waiting to happen! He is a sweet boy....he's not a snuggler, but on occasion will lay on my chest. Most mornings I wake up with him comfortably curled into the corner of my bent knees. In the evening, if we're not playing "rubber band", he will often lay in a nest I make with one leg bent against the other to form a triangle. He loves being petted and often hangs out in the bathroom with me while I'm getting ready where he receives many hugs. Cedar has brightened our home and will yours as well!

Adopt Cedar and Receive Cedar's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cedar's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$10 is Cedar's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Cedar, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cedar's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cedar was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cedar’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cedar’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cedar’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
