We will be located at The Book Stall 811 Elm Street Winnetka IL 60093.Diamond is very playful, always chasing the same toys her siblings find interest in and exploring around the house. She likes to wrestle with her siblings and chase around worms on a string, along with string toys.Diamond is a big cuddle bug. She purrs as soon as you pet her and likes sleeping next to you if you sit down on the couch to work for a while. If she’s asleep, sometimes you can pick her up in the same position and she’ll remain asleep.Diamond’s also proven herself to be a gentle lady around adult and senior cats, never aggressive, simply curious, and friendly (though she might not resist batting at a tail if the opportunity presents itself). Around children, she’s just as good-natured, soaking up attention and tolerating being carried or cuddled, even by younger kids. Because she’s so playful and sociable, Diamond will need a young feline friend in her forever home whether that’s with one of her siblings, Clover, Artie, Queen, or another playful resident cat. She’s especially fond of Clover. She’d be happiest in a home with people around during the day to keep her company, join her in her games, and let her snuggle once her exuberant energy has worn down.Diamond is the kind of cat who steals the spotlight without even trying. She’s social, curious, endlessly entertaining, and has a knack for making every day feel brighter. With her big, intelligent eyes, you’d think she’s plotting something clever… but then she tries to “catch” the computer mouse on your screen, and you realize she’s more of a slapstick comedian than mastermind. If you’re on your phone, expect a few random taps as she’s been known to pause videos, like and dislike them a dozen times, and even change what you’re watching. Diamond doesn’t just live in your home—she interacts with your electronics like a mischievous little roommate. Playtime, though, is where her silly personality shines. She wrestles with her siblings, chases toys across the floor, and always wants in on whatever game another cat is playing. Her favorite activities include zooming through the house, playing with string toys, and inspecting anything new in her environment. She’s bold enough to explore on her own but also happy to team up with her buddies.But behind the antics is a total sweetheart. Diamond loves to cuddle and will purr the moment you touch her. You can scoop her up and carry her around, and she’ll happily stay in your arms, sometimes even asleep the whole time. Sit down to work, and she’ll curl beside you. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Diamond was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Diamond’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Diamond’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Diamond’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
