Maxine loves to be held, stroll around with her humans, and wind down by watching a bit of TV like the curious girl she is. When it’s time to eat, she turns into a blur of enthusiasm—running in circles until the food hits the bowl!Maxine was raised in a loving foster home with her sisters, other cats, and lots of friendly humans. She’s been gently socialized and is used to both feline companionship and people-time. She’d do best in a calm, quiet environment—perhaps with older children or adults—where she can feel safe, relaxed, and adored.Maxine is happiest with a buddy by her side and would love to be adopted with one of her beloved sisters, Laverne or Patty. She would be happy with a new young playful kitty friend too though!She has a gentle soul and an old-soul kind of sweetness—she’s the kind of kitten who will curl up beside you while you read or nap on your chest during movie night. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maxine was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maxine’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maxine’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maxine’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
