Maru is house-trained and will politely sit by the door when nature calls. He’s a smart cookie who already knows “sit” and “give paw,” and he's eager to add more tricks to his resume. Maru is a friendly guy who just needs a moment to warm up—then he’s all in with tail wags and loyalty for life. He’s a champ at the vet, a good boy for baths, and absolutely lives for a good brushing session. Whether he’s strutting his stuff on a walk or lounging like royalty, Maru is always ready to be your trusty sidekick. Think you’re ready for a best friend with bright eyes and a big heart? Maru’s waiting! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are not put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maru was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maru’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maru’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maru’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
