Klaus, Loki, and Pikachu are the sweetest little gentlemen ever. Klaus (black with large ears) is the leader, and the first to come and say hi to new people. Loki (also black but smaller ears) usually comes to say hi and check if there are going to be any goodies handed out. He will let you scratch his head for a second. Pikachu (grey one) is the shyest of the group, but he is easily won over by treats. All of them are very friendly and great with kids once they get to know their people. They are used to dogs and cats as well and are unbothered by the occasional cat napping on top of their cage. They LOVE treats, especially goji berries, and are very active on their wheels at night (they will probably need at least two). They are at least 10, maybe 11 years old now but chinchillas can live over 15 years with proper care, and these guys are not showing signs of slowing down. They are bonded and have to be adopted as a trio. Their adoption fee is $200 for all 3 boys. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Klaus, Loki, and Pikachu was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Klaus, Loki, and Pikachu’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Klaus, Loki, and Pikachu’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Klaus, Loki, and Pikachu’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
