About this Dog
READ POST BEFORE APPLYING - SPECIAL NEEDS DOG This little guy may only weigh 9 pounds, but don’t let his size fool you — Reef is all heart, all play, and all determination. Reef celebrated his first birthday in February and proudly sports a one-of-a-kind look: a stunning copper coat, dark markings along his back and ears, and a black-tipped tail that wags like it’s powered by joy. His DNA results say he’s a mix of toy and miniature poodle — basically the perfect-sized package of fluff, fun, and fabulousness. Reef is what we lovingly call differently-abled. He has a neurological condition that gives him a bit of a wobble and sometimes sends him tumbling — but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He plays like a pro, zooms like he’s chasing the wind, and lives life with infectious enthusiasm. His favorite thing in the world? A fellow small dog who’s up for nonstop wrestling, chasing, and general puppy antics. He does wear a diaper indoors — Reef isn’t able to fully control his bladder, but the diaper keeps things clean and manageable, and he doesn’t mind it a bit. He’s currently fostered with a pack of pups and doing great, but what this sweet boy really dreams of is a forever family who’s home more often than not, ready to dote on him, love him fiercely, and let him be their shadow. Reef would greatly benefit from a yard of any size. He is a bit happy so the apartment or condo life may not be well suited for him as he could be bothersome to his neighbors when left alone. A hard for a reef to run and zoom would make his day. Reef is affectionate, silly, and sweet beyond words. He’s a classic Velcro dog — wherever you go, he’ll want to be there too. And his love language? Unlimited kisses. If you’ve got the heart and patience to embrace a dog with a few quirks but a whole lot of love to give, Reef might just be your perfect match. Apply today at 4LuckyDogs.org and come meet the little guy who’s rewriting the definition of resilience.

100% of Reef's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Reef.
Adopt Reef and Receive Reef's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Reef's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Reef's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Reef, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Reef's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Reef was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Reef’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Reef’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Reef’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
