NOTE: Violet must be adopted with Emme Meet Violet, an 8-year-old, 18lb. dachshund. Violet is typical of the doxie breed. She is silly and fun loving! She will run her little legs as fast as she can, and then drop flat on the cool tile. This lil girl loves her “sister” Emme and is happy to welcome any dog into her circle. She is people and kid friendly and especially food friendly. Violet is mostly house trained (will use pee pads if needed), walks well on leash, and rides well in the car. She gets a little nervous during storms. She sleeps quietly through the night but will chime in if other dogs bark. She hasn’t been with a cat while with our rescue. She likes playing with toys. There isn't a treat she doesn't like! And don't tell her she's 8 because she won't believe you. This sweet girl is very bonded to her best friend Emme and they must be adopted together. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Violet (must be adopted with Emme) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Violet (must be adopted with Emme)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Violet (must be adopted with Emme)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Violet (must be adopted with Emme)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
