About this Cat
Born in a cat hoarding house, Agnes was still a kitten when she gave birth to a litter of her own. The house later caught fire, stranding almost 30 cats with nowhere to go. Fortunately, a generous neighbor, who already cared for a local cat community, offered her property and energy to them. While many have since found loving homes, she continues to care for those left behind today. We began fostering Agnes in October of 2024 during Hurricane Milton. Despite the difficult circumstances of her life, she remains a playful and loving companion. If you are looking for an energetic cat that appreciates toys and towers, look no further; if you are looking for a missing sock, then chances are Agnes stole it. Talkative and affectionate, she would enjoy nothing more than to follow you around and engage in conversation before climbing into your lap to cuddle. Agnes loves to be held, especially while being sung to; her favorite spot will always be on your shoulders if you let her, and maybe if you don’t too. While she tolerates our dog, Agnes does not get along with the other cats in our home; though she has made some progress in recent weeks, she’d likely do best in a single-pet household. As a longhair cat, she has some unique grooming needs. Please keep these in mind when considering adoption.

Adopt Agnes and Receive Agnes's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Agnes's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$5 is Agnes's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Agnes, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Agnes's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Agnes was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Agnes’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Agnes’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Agnes’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
