NAME: Bagel BREED: Terrier mix SEX: female COLOR: white/red AGE: 4 yrs as of January 2025 WEIGHT: 14 lbs FOSTERED BY: LOCATED IN: NOTES FROM FOSTER FAMILY: Shy with people at first, loves to play with other dogs, active, will need leash training, She would not do well with young children. She can still sometimes get scared of new things and people and children move fast. She would need to be in an adult only home with person/couple that will let her settle in and feel safe. She still does get nervous being picked up until she knows someone so just need someone that can go slow with her. Bagel will do best in a home with another dog where she can learn the ropes and have a friend to play with. Due to COVID-19 we are a little more limited on volunteers and the availability (and safety) of home visits. Local applications are given first priority and some out of town areas will not be able to be processed. At this time, we will only be able to process applications that have an excellent current vet history. If you haven’t had a pet or verifiable vet history we will not be able to process your application. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bagel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bagel’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bagel’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bagel’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
