About this Dog
Oklahoma was not ok for Rory and several others pups who were taken from what may have been a backyard breeding program. Now she is here in Connecticut to find a safe haven in a loving forever home and family. Rory is a tiny pup of just 4 pounds and 4 months old so it is expected that she will remain a small dog (10-31 pounds) when she is fully grown. Rory has adorable floppy ears and big brown eyes that tell of her yearning for a lap of love. Rory is ready to make friends with dogs and children. It is not known if she is comfortable with cats.Rory is embarking on her house and leash training. She is a very young pup so consistent, gentle, brief training lessons should be tailored to her youth and size. Puppies and rescue dogs should be expected to have accidents as they become accustomed to a new home, family and routines. If crate training is anticipated, Rory requires a crate that lets her lie down, stand up and turn around. Crates should never be used for punishment, should be warm and cozy dens and Rory should be able to go in and out as she desires during training. If you have room in your heart and home for a little lady who will always be a petite girl with big brown eyes, Rory will be a perfect fit.* Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Rory is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

Adopt Rory and Receive Rory's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rory's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Rory's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Rory, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rory's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rory was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rory’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rory’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rory’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
