About this Dog
Maximus! Well, there is a great name for a small guy (19 pounds). But then again small dogs often come with big personalities. He is a year old. He is mostly chocolate in coloring with white highlights. Max has those big eyes that reflect his curiosity and sensitivity to his surroundings. He is a Brussels Griffon mix.Brussels Griffons have been around since the 1800s. If Max seems to look a little Puggish, that is because they were originally bred with pugs. Their personality traits include intelligence, loyalty (they love to be around their humans as much as possible), enjoy mental stimulation, and can be active and playful. Maximus has the right amount of the best personality traits for his breed and then some. A sweet boy like Maximus never goes out of style. He presents a confident nature wrapped up in a friendly disposition. Maximus was originally transferred from a shelter, so there is little information about him. He is good with other dogs, and he does well with children as well. He has not had the opportunity to meet a cat since coming into rescue. As to training, a refresher course would be a good idea to find out what he knows. A daily walk of 30 minutes would be good for him to refresh his social skills in a world that is new to him. Open up the door of opportunity and have Maximus has your next canine family member. * Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Maximus is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

Adopt Maximus and Receive Maximus's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Maximus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Maximus's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Maximus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Maximus's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maximus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maximus’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maximus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maximus’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
