Oklahoma was not ok for Lilly and several others pups who were taken from what may have been a backyard breeding program. Now she is in Connecticut to find a safe haven in a loving forever home and family.Lilly is a petite gal at 9 pounds and is a poodle/chihuahua mix. She has lovely golden locks of fuzzy fur and a cute black button nose. Dogs and children are welcome companions. It is not known if Lilly enjoys the company of cats.Lilly is working on her house and leash training. Rescue dogs should be expected to have accidents as they become accustomed to a new home, family and routines. If crate training is anticipated, Lilly requires a crate that lets her lie down, stand up and turn around. Crates should never be used for punishment, should be warm and cozy dens and Lilly should be able to go in and out as she desires during training. If you have room in your heart and home for a little lady who will always be a petite girl with big brown eyes, Lilly is a perfect fit.* Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability.The adoption fee for Lilly is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lilly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lilly’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lilly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lilly’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
