About this Dog
Meet Dee, the GSP (German Shorthaired Pointer)! This guy came to the Shelter as an owner surrender after his previous guardians were unable to continue caring for him. He has lived in a home with children under 12 years old, teens, men, women and seniors. He lived outdoors entirely in his previous home but is starting to realize the comforts of indoor living (hello plush beds!). Adopters will have to be patient in the transition as he may take a bit of time to get the hang of living indoors. Deeâs favorite activities in his previous home are running around and rolling in grass. When out with volunteers at the Shelter â Dee has enjoyed sniffing around the Shelter grounds and exploring. Dee has met dogs at the Shelter and has solicited play. A home with a resident canine may be a fit provided they meet at the Shelter before adoption. Dee knows âsitâ and âshakeâ. According to the previous guardian, Dee had experience with cats and rabbits previously. A home with other animals may be a fit after a slow introduction and management.Come on in to meet your new BFF today at 1001 Rodriguez Street, Santa Cruz from 11-6pm. All adoptions are first come, first serve in person at the Shelter, and must be completed before 4:45pm.Dee's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor!

Adopt DEE and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, DEE's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is DEE's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the DEE, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming DEE's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and DEE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, DEE’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the DEE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, DEE’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
