About this Dog
10/18/24 01:07Doggy Day Out Report Today I met a new friend, and we took a nice walk in the park and around the neighborhood. I LOVED all the scents along our walk! I got excited when I saw birds, squirrels and an orange cat. I wanted to say hi, but my friend said we should greet them from a distance. I had a great time, and I can't wait to go out again!Three Words to Describe Me are: Energetic- Happy- SociableNotes from My Walker: Sofie is a friendly pup. She was so excited that she kept moving around when I tried to put her harness on. She jumped in and out of the car easily and sat nicely during our drive to Jeffrey Fontana Park. Excited by sorts of scentsâbirds, squirrels, humans, other dogs and even a catâshe pulled strongly on the leash. As she encountered more distractions, she began pulling less and focused more on sniffing. Sofie handled noises well; we came across a leaf blower, traffic, and a garbage truck, and she didnât lunge or bark at any of them. Overall, Sofie is a happy girl looking for her forever family! She will thrive with a family that provides her with daily moderate exercise, training, and the love and support she needs to be her very best self!08/23/24 06:50DOG DAY OUT REPORT Today I: went for a really long hike at St. Josephâs Open Space Preserve. I got called beautiful on 3 separate occasions by other hikers! We saw a lot of other dogs and some of them tried to say hi, but I minded my own business and kept walking. I enjoy being pet just about anywhere on my body, but nothing compares to a good butt scratch! We stopped for water a few times, and each time I took the opportunity to really relax and lay down while drinking. I had a lot of fun sniffing for lizards in the bushes but mostly I was just happy to be out exploring the trails.Three Words to Describe Me are: Lively, Adventurous, SweetNotes from My Walker: Sofie is a really friendly pup who enjoys being pet, itâs one of the few times she will sit still! She especially loves butt scratches and itâs so funny to watch the way she re-orients her body to make sure youâre petting her back there. She has a very adventurous spirit and likes to take the lead when walking; we were able to do some nice loose-leash walking for about 2 miles at the end of our hike, but only after 5ish miles of some pretty strong pulling. Sofie is a champ at getting in the car and was totally chill during the drive. I had a hard time getting her harness on initially and had to adjust it a few times to get a good fit, but she was extremely patient and unbothered by all the extra handling.

Adopt SOFIE and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, SOFIE's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is SOFIE's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the SOFIE, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming SOFIE's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and SOFIE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, SOFIE’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the SOFIE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, SOFIE’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
