I was originally rescued from Stanislaus Shelter in Modesto, then adopted through Give Me Shelter by a loving human. Sadly, when their health declined and they had to move into assisted living, I came back to the rescue. I miss them—but I’m ready to bring my love and joy to a new person who needs a soft, chatty shadow like me. I’m equal parts cuddlebug and hostess: Want a movie night? I’ll keep your lap warm and your heart full. Having guests? I’ll make the rounds, collecting pets and charming everyone like a tiny orange diplomat. Need someone to talk to? I have opinions and I’m not afraid to share them (in a very cute, polite way, of course). For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Amy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Amy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Amy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Amy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
