About this Cat
Hey there, I'm River! I might be a little shy at first, but once I get comfortable with you, I’m all about cuddles, naps, and playtime! When I first arrived at my foster home, I was a bit nervous and needed a little space to adjust. But within just 24 hours, I was already napping on my foster’s lap, so it didn’t take long for me to feel safe and loved. I’m a playful boy at heart, especially when it comes to my foster brother! We love running and jumping all around the house, chasing toys and each other. But when it’s time to relax, I’m just as content. You’ll often find me napping by the window, watching the world go by, or curled up on the couch for some cozy downtime. I have a pretty laid-back personality, but there’s one thing that really gets me excited... the sound of a can of cat food opening! I’m a very good eater, and not picky at all—I’ll finish my food (and sometimes my foster brother’s too, if he’s not looking!). My appetite might surprise you, but I promise I’m all about good meals and belly rubs. I’m a big sweetheart who would do best in a home with older children who understand that I need a little time to settle in. Once I’m comfortable, you’ll have a loyal and loving companion who’s always ready to give affection, play, and be your best buddy. I am all ready for my new home or will be soon! Once sterilized, I will have been seen by a veterinarian, had all shots I was able to get when I was sterilized or they checked my sterilization status and microchipped! All I need now is you! I am currently living in a foster home and am fully litter trained. Act 2 Rescue will even help you make sure I am able to integrate into your human and pet family with their behavioral coaching support during the transition period. I can't wait to meet you so please fill out an application for me today! _______________________________________________________________________

100% of River's balance will be sent to whoever adopts River.
Adopt River and Receive River's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, River's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is River's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the River, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming River's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and River was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, River’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the River’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, River’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
