Amber – The Playful Free Spirit Amber is a 10-month-old, 38-pound female Pit Bull Terrier who’s playful, curious, and affectionate. She’s still a youngster, eager to explore the world and connect with the people around her. Good leash manners: Starts out with some mild pulling on leash but quickly relaxes into a nice walking rhythm by your side. Toy lover: Lights up at the sight of toys—whether it’s chasing down a tennis ball or running joyfully with a squeaky plush in her mouth. Polite snacker: Takes treats gently, making her easy to reward during training. Gentle connector: While not overly pushy for attention at first, she soon hops toward her handler with soft curiosity, sniffing pockets and leaning in for pets. Comfort seeker: Stays close and lean against your leg for reassurance and bonding. Sweet adventurer: She happily wanders to explore new spaces, while still checking back in with her person, snuggling and resting her paws on your legs for closeness. Amber would thrive in an active home that loves playtime, exploration, and a sweet, balanced companion. She’d be happy in a home with a well-matched dog buddy, or shine as the solo star with some canine friends.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Amber was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Amber’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Amber’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Amber’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
