Meet Spinach, a 1-year-old, 55-pound pittie mix who is thriving in his foster home. Goofy, affectionate, and smart, he’s full of love and charm. Spinach is house-trained, crate-trained, and sleeps through the night. He’s very food motivated and knows sit, stay, and down. He still gets puppy-playful and can be a bit mouthy when excited but redirects easily. He’s wonderful to walk, friendly, and non-reactive to other dogs or city sounds. Whether he's exploring the neighborhood or relaxing on the couch, Spinach is happy to be near his people. He leans in for cuddles and loves nothing more than lounging close by. Spinach does well with calm, respectful dogs but would also thrive as a one-and-only. His mix of playful energy and couch-potato calm makes him a flexible companion. He’s ready to bring joy, cuddles, and a little bit of silliness to a family who will continue his training and enjoy everything this sweet, loving boy has to offer. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Spinach's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Spinach was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Spinach’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Spinach’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Spinach’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
