Artemis is about 2-3 years old, rescued from the Hesperia Shelter. This handsome boy loves to be up on a table hanging out watching out the window watching birds and squirrels. If something is on the table that doesn’t belong, he will knock it off the table to help clear the clutter. He is very sweet and loves chin scratches and makes great biscuits with his big paws. He can be such a calm chill cat but, give him a string toy and his kitten comes out and he will race back and forth with it. He was fostered with two other cats and seemed to get along well with both. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Artemis was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Artemis’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Artemis’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Artemis’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
