Meet Mama Odie! âBlue skies and sunshine⦠guaranteed!âSay hello to Mama Odie, a calico wonder with light brown eyes, a bold spirit, and the sass of a Disney heroine! Named after the wise and feisty enchantress from The Princess and the Frog, Mama Odie has already earned her titleâand then some. She's a survivor, a snuggler, a shoulder-percher, and a zoomie queen all rolled into one tiny, colorful package.A Healing JourneyOdieâs story began with a rough start: rescued at just 4â5 weeks old, she was battling a nasty upper respiratory infection, a case of conjunctivitis so bad we feared she'd lose an eye, fleas, and likely a UTI. But thanks to the incredible folks at BAS and her fosters, she made a full recovery with both eyes intactâand a sparkle in each one. She still has some minor tear stain issues from the infection (a lingering side effect), which just means she might need an occasional little face wipe. No biggieâsheâs used to her spa treatments.Personality Plus. Mama Odie is expressive (youâll always know whatâs on her mind), affectionate (a champion cuddler who loves hanging out on your shoulder), and endlessly energetic. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *MAMA ODIE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *MAMA ODIE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *MAMA ODIE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *MAMA ODIE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
