About this Dog
Koda is a sweet pup we rescued when he was 8 weeks old. He's a chocolate lab mix, 7 years old, strong and health - has never had health issues. He's good with kids and other dogs, not sure about cats. He's been raised with our other dog, Luna; so, if you're interested in adopting both, let me know because they play really well together. That said, he’s fine on his own as well. Unfortunately, I have asthma and have developed a pretty bad allergy to the dogs. I've tried managing the situation by having them stay with a friend 50% of the time but every time they've come back, I have trouble again. I’ve gone back on prescription asthma medication after not having needed medication for years but it’s not solving the problem. I find myself hiding from my pups instead of snuggling with them which makes me very sad…for me and for them. In addition, I travel a lot for work and used to have friends the dogs could stay with whenever I’m away; but, they moved to an apartment that doesn’t allow pets. This leaves means I have to board the pups every time I travel, which isn’t fair to them either. If you live where there are a lot of coyotes, it wouldn't be a good fit - they wander the hill behind our house and it makes Koda very anxious. This was a really difficult decision but he deserves better. Please consider giving Koda a loving home.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Koda's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Koda was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Koda’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
