About this Dog
Say hello to Kahlua! Kahlua just turned one year old in October. He has been through a lot in his little life. He, along with four other dogs, were abandoned in a kennel in a parking lot late at night. All five dogs have made progress with their people socialization, to varying degrees. We feel Kahlua is finally ready to start the search for his forever home, provided they are patient and loving, and willing to give him the time he needs to fully blossom. Kahlua will bark and avoid when first meeting you. If you reach for him too fast, he will nip. Because of this, we feel he needs to go to an adult-only home. We have noticed he tends to bond more with females than males. At rescue, Kahlua is starting to zoom up to those he knows and trusts, seeking out attention and pets. He is becoming more social with the other dogs, and even brave enough to explore the yard! Kahlua did spend about a week in foster, but didn't warm up to the male in the home. He loved the human female though, and showed what a fun and puppy-like personality he can have when he is comfortable. In his foster home, Kahlua discovered the joy of toys (especially flipping them up in the air and dragging them all over the house). He also discovered his own reflection in the mirror (haha) and per his foster mom, "there isn't a reflection of himself he has seen that he doesn't like". He would jump on her for pets and kisses, just like he does for those at rescue whom he knows and trusts. Kahlua will take time and patience to fully get comfortable in a new environment. He will need help with things like potty training and leash training. If you think you have what Kahlua needs to fully blossom, send us an email to [email protected]. Kahlua is approximately one-year-old, and weighs around 15 pounds. His adoption fee includes neuter surgery, vaccinations up to date, Rabies certificate, and microchip.

Adopt Kahlua and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Kahlua's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Kahlua's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Kahlua, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Kahlua's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kahlua was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kahlua’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Kahlua’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kahlua’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
